Corn is the quintessential American cereal. The prehistoric sites show that was grown in America for seven thousand years ago. The legends of the creation of Aldinos and the Central American peoples represent the corn as the raw material of life, similar to how the ancient peoples of Europe attributed to wheat mystical significance. The corn appears in descriptions of elaborate rituals dishes, in Mexico, the Aztecs at the time of Cortez, planted corn along their routes so that no one could be hungry, in symbol of generosity that couldn’t took advantage of the conquerors, many of which died of starvation. Although it is a very valuable as a domestic cereal for both people and pets,   tender corn can consumed during all the year. In tropical countries, where winter and summer barely difference can be made up to three or even four harvests.

Cultivation

Corn is a high grass for 4 to 5 meters that look like bamboo with fertile seed heads, corn grow along the stem. The grains of corn ripen within a protective leaves. The female flowers born in the bottom of the trunk ready to be pollinated by the male flowers, which appear in the form of a bunch of small terminal in the top of the stem. It is often cultivated in association with the head, which inhibits the growth of unwanted seeds and green beans.These three ingredients may be combined.

Corn is one of the most balanced food. Fresh, either steamed or grilled, is easy to digest, but not much if is stored. Sweet corn is good for the muscles and bones, and it is great for the brain and nervous system. Is believed that corn can reduce the risk of cancer and protects against heart disease. It is also recommended for treatment of some skin conditions.
